The Academic Data Coordinator works with outside vendors to manage system integration and data for several external resources such as the school’s financial aid, testing, emergency notification and parent conferencing systems. Additionally, the Academic Data Coordinator works closely with the school’s Admission and Financial Aid Office to help manage enrollment/re-enrollment contracts, financial aid, and immigration processes along with assisting with reporting statistics. Qualified candidates will also have experience in teaching religion to young children in a church or school setting and knowledge of the Episcopal Church and its educational traditions, practices, and beliefs. Candidates must feel comfortable teaching a range of ages from early childhood through early adolescents, as this position includes weekly classes with students from 3 years old through 8th grade. Other responsibilities include leading two Early Childhood Chapel services each week. This position is mobile across the campus, so candidate must be comfortable with: switching classrooms throughout the day, moving teaching materials from class to class, and fast transitions. Currently, 131 faculty and staff serve 600+ girls in grades 6-12 with a college preparatory curriculum that includes a full complement of humanities, arts and STEM courses, and co-curricular programs of leadership development, athletics, performing arts, and community engagement.
The candidate for this position will be expected to design and maintain a class environment favorable to girls’ academic and personal growth and to establish effective rapport with students while maintaining proper classroom management. Daily instructional plans should implement 21st-century pedagogical approaches. The teacher will work effectively with technology, use interdisciplinary approaches in the classroom, and show knowledge of project-based instruction. He/she will work within a team setting of shared ideas and constructive feedback in a collaborative manner. They will demonstrate an educational and academic background in American and/or World History, Civics, and the Social Sciences along with a desire and ability to teach Middle and Upper School students.  The ideal candidate will also have experience in interdisciplinary connections, specifically with STEM related fields, and in cultivating global perspectives in students.
