Jay has almost 25 years of purchasing experience, with over 16 of those working specifically with independent schools through MISBO. Jay works with member schools to understand their needs and then sources vendors to secure contracts that will provide savings to enrich the learning environment at each facility. Prior to joining MISBO, he worked in the Global Procurement and Trading division for The Coca-Cola Company at their corporate offices in Atlanta, Georgia.

Dianne joined MISBO in 1997, after serving as the first Facilities Director for The Galloway School in Atlanta, Georgia. She currently manages a variety of projects including the MISBO Webinar Series, MISBO On The Road, and the Digital Educational Resources program. Prior to working with schools, Dianne was a licensed REALTOR© and a Project Manager in the building management industry. She studied psychology and architecture at Gordon College.

Michelle supports all initiatives at MISBO from a marketing perspective with a strong emphasis on communications including content for website, social media, print materials, etc.  Michelle was also primarily responsible for MISBO’s rebranding effort launched in early 2016.  Prior to joining MISBO, Michelle served as the Director of Strategic Marketing and Communications for The Rumson Country Day School in New Jersey. Before entering the world of independent schools, she was a successful entrepreneur and business consultant for 10 years after serving 15 years in the corporate world as either Director of Marketing or in boutique advertising agencies. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with concentrations in finance, management, and marketing from Monmouth University in New Jersey.

In her role with MISBO, Lindsay is the go-to person for conference and live event logistics. She communicates with all attendees, including speakers and sponsors, and she works with venues to ensure all event aspects are orchestrated efficiently. Before coming to MISBO, Lindsay supported 10 commercial real estate agents at Lavista Associates, Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia, where she performed various tasks such as listing properties, creating marketing proposals, and editing contracts. Prior to that, Lindsay worked in an art gallery in Atlanta and held internships at two museums, the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in Richmond, Virginia and the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C. She graduated cum laude from the University of Richmond with double majors in art history and Italian studies.

Susan Flanagan, Vendor and Member Engagement Manager

Susan supports vendor and school relationships by maintaining information in the MISBO portal and providing strategic reporting and feedback. She facilitates communications with vendors concerning contracts and product offerings, assisting in providing optimal vendor exposure. Susan also supports schools with the Digital Educational Resources online ordering process and with maximizing their MISBO benefits. Susan has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and an MBA with an emphasis in MIS.

Cheryl Goode, IT/Database Manager

After a career with SunTrust, Cheryl returned to school in 2003 to earn an associate degree in IT from DeKalb Technical College (Georgia Piedmont College). Following an internship at the City of Decatur Schools, Cheryl worked temporarily with the IT Department at The Westminster Schools where she was introduced to MISBO. For the past 11 years, Cheryl has maintained the Association’s database and website and has been the go-to person for all technical issues for staff and the membership.

Jean Horn, Accounting Manager

Jean has 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, including 15 years in mortgage banking and 10 years as a staff accountant. As the Association’s accounting manager, she answers questions about invoices for membership renewal, school volume fees, and electronic resources.
